How this site makes money

Independent publishing still has bills. Here is every way this site earns revenue — and the lines we don't cross.

What may earn us money

• Partner links. Some rate tables and buttons may link to lenders or comparison marketplaces that pay a referral fee when you request a quote. These are always marked "Advertiser Disclosure" or "Partner".
• Display advertising. Standard ad placements, clearly distinguishable from content.
• Our newsletter. The Michigan Rate Sheet may carry one labeled sponsor slot per issue.

What never happens

• No lender can buy a review score, a ranking position, or removal of criticism.
• Editorial content is written before, and independently of, any partnership.
• We are not paid on your loan closing — we never see your application.
• Your calculator inputs stay in your browser; we don't collect or sell them.
